Winter Activities....

What do you do on a winter sunday in Auckland, one option all year round is to head to the next beach, with water temperatures around 12C swimming is not really an option but with the right equipment (and I mean gumboots and raincoats) it can still be a nice day out, especially with the help of our expert Mike who knows a secret mussel gathering spot and was willing to take a crazy bunch of frenchies for a session of cockle hunting in the sand....and within less then an hour we had 2 buckets full of delicious New Zealand cockles that were transformed into a great birthday dinner for Eva who had the great idea....

Rugby Les Bleus vs the AB's

Winter time is Rugby time and as a warm up for the world cup in France in september we all went to see the French team play the mighty All Blacks, we did our best to support the guests but sending a C team did not really help and the result was a harsh beating for the Bleus.

But we had a great time and who knows a surprise comeback might be possible when it is for real in september!
