Here in Auckland we are counting the days for the official start of spring!!! the sea and the beaches already look tempting but with a water temperature of approx 15 degrees it is all still a bit chilly out there.

After a sunday morning swiming lesson (in the pool with instructor as we are getting ready to snorkel the coral reefs of samoa soon!!) Bennie and Juju had some great fun at home, but not after some fancy hair dressing ...

So Spring, Samoa and Rugby World Cup in France coming closer and closer, watch this space for more action...

Kiwi Winter Wonderland

Its the second month of winter and as soon as the sun is out we try to head down to one of the close beaches, this one Karaka Bay we discovered recently and its like a holiday just 5 minutes away from our house...

Karaka Bay, a historic ground, signing place of the Waitangi Treaty....and a very beautyful beach well hidden in the middle of Auckland.
